Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Southbridge, MA is hiring an Environmental Services worker. Under supervision, you will clean offices and department areas, remove trash, perform dusting, damp wiping, mopping, vacuuming and bathroom cleaning, contributing to a safe and attractive hospital environment.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED if preferred, with prior environmental services experience preferred; ability to work independently and follow safety procedures; standard 40 hour schedule,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous environmental services experience preferred with ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Cleans assigned rooms and areas to ensure a clean, safe and attractive environment.
• Cleans and burnishes floors to maintain an attractive appearance.
• Assists with project work as assigned.
• Completes assigned schedule of duties making efficient use of work time.
• Projects a positive service attitude while on duty, responding to requests promptly and professionally.
• Interacts with others in a cooperative manner and works harmoniously with staff.
• Follows safety procedures and uses equipment and chemicals safely.
