Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Southbridge, MA is seeking Environmental Services staff to maintain clean, safe patient care areas. This non-exempt, 40-hour per week role features a mixed shift (7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. or 2:30 p.m.–11:00 p.m.) and occasional holiday coverage.

A signing bonus may be available, discussed during interview. Under supervision, you will clean offices and department areas, remove trash, perform high dusting, damp wipe surfaces, mop, vacuum and sanitize bathrooms.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous environmental services experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.

Responsibilities

• Cleans assigned rooms and areas to ensure a clean, safe environment.
• Cleans and burnishes floors to maintain a neat appearance.
• Performs scheduled duties efficiently and effectively.
• Projects a positive service attitude and responds to requests promptly.
• Operates equipment and uses chemicals safely and following procedures.
