Day Kimball Health in Putnam, CT is seeking a Housekeeper II to join our Environmental Services Department. The role involves cleaning and servicing building areas according to established procedures, moving furniture and equipment as needed, and maintaining a sanitary hospital environment.

The position requires working 40 hours on the 1st shift with every other weekend on call. We offer comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth in a non-profit health system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior hospital/industrial/office cleaning experience with minimum three months training preferred.
• Ability to operate cleaning devices, e.g., automatic floor equipment, buffers, vacuums, mops and wringers.

Responsibilities

• Project work on floors using automatic floor equipment.
• Total patient room cleaning following established procedures.
• Move equipment and furniture for relocation of offices, for cleaning and rearrangement.
• Trash removal and recycling; may collect hazardous/medical waste.
• Clean entrances and parking lot of debris and trash.
• Provides on-call coverage for weekends and holidays as scheduled.
• Responds to emergency codes.
