Job summary

Day Kimball Health in Putnam, CT is seeking a Housekeeper II to join our Environmental Services Department. This role performs cleaning and servicing of building areas to maintain a neat, sanitary hospital environment.

40 hours per week on 1st shift with every other weekend schedule. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED (preferred) and prior cleaning experience; ability to operate floor cleaning equipment; and proficiency in reading/writing English.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior hospital/cleaning experience helpful.
• Ability to operating cleaning equipment and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform floor care and cleaning using automatic floor equipment.
• Clean patient rooms and other areas per procedures.
• Move furniture and equipment as needed for cleaning.
• Remove trash and recycle according to guidelines.
• Assist with on-call coverage for weekends/holidays as scheduled.
• Respond to emergency codes as required.
