Job summary

Unity Health in Jacksonville, AR is seeking a housekeeping associate to support indirect patient care by cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining sanitary floors across patient areas. You will follow infection control and safety policies, remove waste and contaminated linen, and ensure equipment is clean and ready for use.

The shift runs 1 PM to 9:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with every other weekend. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, ability to read/write, and ability to lift

Qualifications

• Must be able to sufficiently read and write.
• Ability to understand written and oral instructions.
• Maintains good physical and emotional well being.
• Job requires a great deal of sitting, walking, bending, pushing carts and other equipment, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Previous experience desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Clean, disinfect, and maintain floors to keep patient areas sanitary.
• Follow infection control and housekeeping policies to safety guidelines.
• Remove trash and biohazardous waste; handle contaminated linen per procedures.
• Request cleaning supplies and maintain equipment in working condition.
