Job summary

St David's Kyle Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Hospital Housekeeper II to perform daily cleaning, stocking, and room readiness per EVS schedules. The role involves mopping, vacuuming, bathroom cleaning, and the use of floor machines to maintain hygienic patient areas.

Responsibilities include inspecting rooms for cleanliness, replenishing supplies, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. Training is provided with equality of opportunity in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• LEVEL OF FORMAL EDUCATION PREFERRED: 10th Grade education.
• EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: No experience required; on the job training is provided

Responsibilities

• Empties wastebaskets and ashtrays; disinfects and re-line wastebaskets.
• Completes high and low dusting of all horizontal surfaces.
• Damp wipe/spot clean furniture, shelving, light fixtures, walls, counter tops, windows, appliances, vents, and pictures.
• Completes general bathroom/lavatory cleaning and polishing including disinfecting or toilet bowl, sink, and bathtub.
• Cleans and polishes fixtures, mirrors, cabinets, and replenishes soap, paper towels, and toilet paper as needed.
• Damp mops and vacuums floor surfaces. Spot cleans carpet on an as needed basis.
• Inspects room for general cleanliness, proper arrangement of furniture, and possible project work that might need the attention of the Housekeeping and/or Maintenance Department.
• Inspects drapes/cubicles for rips, tears, or excessive soilage. Report as needed.
• Follows proper procedure in stripping, disinfecting, and re-making of bed.
• Operates floor scrubber, buffer, sweeper and varnisher.
• Demonstrate understanding of HCA's and "Patients First" safety initiative by strict compliance to all safety protocols and procedures.
• Performs other related duties as directed or required.

Job Summary And Qualifications
