Job summary

Mass General Brigham - Salem Hospital is seeking a diligent environmental services technician to perform cleaning, sanitation, and waste disposal across the Medical Center.

You will operate vacuum cleaners and floor buffers, follow infection control guidelines, and ensure patient and non-patient areas remain safe and orderly. Evening shifts may be required, with onsite work at 81 Highland Avenue in Salem.

Qualifications

• High school completion preferred.
• Experience with cleaning and sanitation in a healthcare setting is a plus.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning and sanitation of assigned areas following infection control guidelines.
• Dispose of waste streams in accordance with procedures.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums and floor buffers.
• Maintain clean and sanitary patient and non-patient areas.
• Participate in department meetings as required.
• Move and rearrange furniture and supplies to clean spaces.
