Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA is hiring a full-time Environmental Services/Housekeeper to maintain clean, safe patient areas on a day shift.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to read and follow simple instructions, and compliance with hospital standards. Starting pay ranges from $15.00 to $22.29 per hour, based on schedule and experience.

This non-exempt position includes benefits and potential signing bonus; schedules are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and follow simple English instruction.
• Employees must be at least 18 years of age to perform this role.
• 3-6 months experience as a houseworker.

Responsibilities

• Performs standard cleaning in hospital areas including patient rooms, surgery areas, units, nurseries, nursing stations, and bathrooms.
• Burnishes floors and cleans floors with automatic machines; disinfects surfaces.
• Picks up trash and transports waste to the compactor area; ensures clean and safe environment.
