Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper for the night shift to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across hospital spaces. You will perform standard cleaning in patient rooms, surgery areas, units, nurseries, and other facilities, maintaining high hygiene standards.

Position details include a 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday with every other holiday, typically 10:30 pm–7:00 am shifts.

Qualifications

• Employees must be at least 18 years of age to perform this role.
• Ability to read, write and follow simple English instruction.

Responsibilities

• Performs standard cleaning procedures in hospital areas, including patient rooms, units, and common areas.
• Dusts, disinfects, sweeps, vacuums, and polishes surfaces and fixtures.
• Cleans floors with appropriate machines and disposes of trash.
• Transports trash to designated areas for pickup.
• Assists with room turnover and setup as needed.
