Job summary

Brown University Health seeks a Guest Service Attendant at Newport Hospital to greet patients and visitors, provide directions, and assist with transportation while maintaining privacy and courtesy. You will work under supervision of the Director, Patient Experience, and support department policies, ensuring a welcoming, respectful environment for all.

Responsibilities include screening visitors, coordinating with security as needed, interpreting services when required, and helping manage lobby

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Hospitality-related degree or certificate preferred.
• Basic computer skills, including word processing.
• Excellent customer service and people skills required.
• Minimum of 1-year of customer service experience required.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, visitors, and guests warmly and make them feel welcome.
• Provide wayfinding and transport as needed per department guidelines.
• Act as liaison between patients/visitors and hospital departments.
• Anticipate guest needs to deliver an exceptional experience.
• Screen visitors and patients using approved processes and adhere to COVID etiquette.
• Maintain lobby areas and communicate visitor policies clearly.
