Job summary

Beacon Health System is seeking a Guest Transporter to assist patients, visitors, and staff at the hospital entrance and throughout the facility. You will provide mobility support, direct people to services, and help maintain safety and infection control standards.

The role requires high school completion, basic customer service skills, and the ability to operate transport equipment. You will work closely with Security and the House Supervisor to ensure timely patient movement and reliable

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; minimum 17 years of age.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow safety and infection control procedures.
• Ability to operate portable devices and transport equipment.

Responsibilities

• Direct patients, caregivers, and visitors to proper locations.
• Provide mobility assistance and arrange wheelchairs/People-Mover as needed.
• Record and maintain transport transactions.
• Educate visitors on visitation guidelines and hospital policies.
• Maintain safety, infection control practices and confidentiality.
• Collaborate with Security, House Supervisor, and department staff as required.
• Deliver items to patients or staff from the main entrance as directed.
