Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is hiring for a Grounds Maintenance role in Worcester, MA. This is a full-time position with a 40-hour work week, day shift, 6AM-230PM, Monday through Friday, non-exempt status. The final offer will reflect scheduled hours and equity considerations.

Responsibilities include lawn mowing, garden care, seasonal cleanups, snow removal, and maintaining safe walkways. Must have MA driver license and Hoisting Engineer license, plus 5 years related experience; a signing bonus may

Qualifications

Must have a valid Massachusetts driver license (minimum Class D rating).
A valid Massachusetts Hoisting Engineer License (minimum Class 2A rating) within 6 months of employment.
Minimum of five years related experience required.
Knowledge of plant material, planting techniques, pruning, weeding and grass mowing.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds as needed.

Responsibilities

Maintains lawns through mowing, watering, fertilizing and seeding.
Cares for planting beds/gardens by planting, laying mulch, removing weeds, pruning, fertilizing and other related activities to present an atheistic atmosphere.
Identifies plants and bushes and performs specific proper maintenance procedures
Removes snow and ice; keeping roads and walkways safe for travel
Perform seasonal cleanups to include removal of leaves and other debris
