Job summary

Othello Community Hospital is seeking a dedicated Hospital Groundskeeper/Maintenance Assistant to maintain the exterior grounds and assist with select indoor tasks. You will help ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors and staff through routine upkeep and basic repairs.

The role requires a high school diploma, ability to operate maintenance equipment, and a willingness to perform seasonal grounds maintenance including snow removal.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required or equivalent.
• Experience in groundskeeping preferred.
• Ability to operate basic maintenance equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain hospital grounds and landscaping for a safe, welcoming environment.
• Perform routine inspections and minor repairs as needed.
• Assist with indoor facility tasks and furniture/equipment movement.
• Monitor safety and cleanliness of outdoor areas and report hazards.
