Job summary

Cullman Regional Medical Center in Cullman, AL is seeking a full-time Day shift Food Service Associate to prepare food, take orders, and serve customers at the grill station, following federal, state, and hospital standards.

You will work at multiple stations, ensure proper temperatures, follow recipes, maintain clean and safe work areas, and collaborate with coworkers and supervisors to resolve customer concerns.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six to twelve months' experience in food service preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of safe food handling and preparation in a commercial kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food and serve customers at the grill station in accordance with current applicable standards and procedures.
• Take orders from customers and prepare items requiring short preparation.
• Complete orders from steam tables and serve customers at multiple stations.
• Serve customers in an efficient and friendly manner following established steps of service.
• Utilize approved recipes and production standards to ensure quality and portion control.
• Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food safely between workstations and storage areas.
• Properly store foods with correct wrapping, dating and safety practices.
• Clean, sanitize, and maintain all assigned work areas and utensils to meet sanitation standards.
• Resolve customer concerns and report relevant information to supervisor.
• Work with coworkers, administrators, and managers to maintain smooth operations.
