Job summary

Hampton Behavioral Health Center is seeking a FULL TIME Receptionist/Switchboard Operator to manage patient and interdepartmental calls in a hospital setting. Hours are Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM. The role includes greeting visitors professionally, taking messages, routing calls, and responding to emergencies with a hospital telephone system.

Responsibilities

• Answer all incoming telephone calls and interdepartmental calls.
• Route calls to the appropriate department or person.
• Greet visitors to the facility in a professional manner.
• Take messages when appropriate and relay them promptly.
• Read and interpret the fire alarm board; respond to emergencies.
