Shepherd Center is seeking a PBX Operator in Atlanta to manage high-volume calls and direct inquiries across the campus. The role involves greeting visitors, coordinating messages, and providing accurate information to patients, families, vendors, and staff.

The position requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills, plus one year of PBX experience in a healthcare setting and basic computer proficiency. It is a full-time on-site role supporting daily operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One year PBX experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• General computer experience required.

Responsibilities

• Answers all incoming PBX calls for the hospital, interviewing callers and directing calls to the appropriate location.
• Clearly conveys and receives messages to meet the needs of all stakeholders.
• Understands and meets the needs of customers, responding with courtesy, clarity, and accuracy to all inquiries.
• Greets and provides information to patients, families, vendors, and all other visitors.
• Monitors the work environment to ensure functionality, safety, and teamwork.
• Ensures optimal coverage for shifts they are responsible for and reports any problems perceived, potential, or real to Supervisor in a timely manner.
