Job summary

Tenet Healthcare's DMC Children’s Hospital of Michigan is seeking a Food Services Operations Specialist to coordinate daily food service operations, ensuring timely, high-quality meals for patients and staff. You will complete opening and closing procedures for the assigned location and help manage inventory.

The role involves preparing requisitions within approved budgets, contributing to policy development, and assisting in staffing decisions and performance data collection.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Associates Degree in related area preferred
• Two years experience in food service, preferably in a health care facility or public institution

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily food service operations to ensure timely, high quality service.
• Complete opening and closing procedures for the assigned location.
• Manage inventory and prepare requisitions for food supplies within approved budgets.
• Monitor workflow and schedule staff accordingly.
• Provide input into policy development and in procedure/protocol development.
