Job summary

Banner Gateway Medical Center in Gilbert, AZ is seeking a Food Service Worker to join the Culinary & Nutrition team. You will support patients, staff and visitors with meals, tray lines, and café services, following dietary policies and procedures.

The role requires flexibility with full-time, varied shifts (5am-1:30pm, 5:30am-2pm, 12pm-8:30pm) including weekends/holidays, and duties spanning food prep, dishwashing, cashiering, and barista tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Must learn food handling regulations and pass required certification tests.
• Ability to communicate effectively and provide customer service.
• POS system experience when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Set up work station and prepare foods following recipes and quality standards.
• Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils and kitchen areas; monitor dish machine temp.
• Restock items and maintain par levels; rotate stock and check expirations.
• Deliver meals to units and assist with catering or special events.
• Interact with patients, staff and customers while maintaining sanitation.
