Banner Health is seeking a Food Service Worker to support the Culinary & Nutrition-Hosp team in Queen Creek, AZ. You will assist patients, staff and visitors with meals, follow dietary policies, prep food, and participate in dishwashing and restocking while cross-training in barista, cashier, and tray line.

At Banner, we are building our Culinary and Nutrition Services team with high performing, close knit and diverse group of individuals who take pride in providing our patients and staff with spectacular service. As a part of our Culinary team, as a Food Service Worker you will be responsible for providing service and assistance to patients, staff and other customers in accordance with established dietary and retail cafe policies and procedures. Some of the additional duties as a Food Service Worker is the cleaning of the kitchen and dining room and dishwashing throughout your day. You will be cross trained to many of the areas in the kitchen, including barista, cashier, tray line, dishwashing, and other back of the house and front of house duties, ensuring we keep up with the process flow. You will assist with food prep, unbox foods and supplies, lifting and carrying boxes from storage and ensure shelves are restocked.
This position requires the ability to learn and follow established policy and procedures, read and understand written and verbal instruction, to communicate effectively and to provide customer service. Must be able to learn food handling regulations and pass certification tests as required. POS (cash register) when applicable. For Banner Staffing Services (BSS) team members, the food handlers' card is required with 30 days of hire. For BSS team members in Tucson and Colorado, the food handlers' card is not required. Employees working at Banner Behavioral Health Hospital must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain the card for the duration of their employment. An Arizona Criminal History Affidavit must be signed upon hire. Employees working at Olive Branch Senior Center must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain the card for the duration of their employment.
