Job summary

BHS Baptist Healthcare System in Kentucky is seeking a Food Service Worker I to prepare and serve meals for patients and staff in a hospital setting. You will maintain cleanliness, adhere to safety and dietary guidelines, and deliver meals with a caring, professional approach.

Responsibilities include operating the cafeteria service area, assisting in dishwashing and general sanitation, and interacting with patients and visitors to provide quality dining experiences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; or 1–6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent.
• Food Handler’s Permit required by Madison County.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining clean and sanitary conditions in all Food service area.
• Serve, and/or operate cash register in cafeteria.
• May include dishwashing, pot washing, general sanitation, cleaning, and use of kitchen equipment.
• May assist in the service and storage of food.
• Perform general duties in the cafeteria area as required to insure high quality customer service.
• Have direct contact with both employees and visitors.
