Job summary

Southcoast Health is seeking a per diem Food Service Worker - Retail at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River, MA. The role supports the Retail areas of the Food & Nutrition Services, set up stations, and ensures cleanliness and sanitation of work areas.

Responsibilities include dating, labeling, rotating items, portion control, and following established procedures. Vaccination for influenza and COVID-19 is required unless an approved exemption is documented after hire.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written instructions.
• Experience with proper food safety/sanitary procedures are preferred.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID-19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired

Responsibilities

• Provide support for the Retail areas of the Food & Nutrition Department including set up all stations and perform positions, break down stations completely ensuring they are cleaned and sanitized.
• Clean and sanitize equipment, and food surfaces according to procedures.
• Assure that all food items are accurately dated, labeled, and rotated prior to storage and or placed for sale.
• Use proper utensils to ensure accurate portions.
• Performs other reasonable duties as assigned.
