Job summary

Northwest Texas Healthcare System is seeking a Floor Technician to perform major floor cleaning and refinishing across the hospital, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and patient safety. You will operate floor care equipment and follow scheduled routines to maintain floors in patient care areas, public spaces, and ancillary departments.

The role requires knowledge of cleaning methods, ability to use equipment, and good English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and communicate in English (written and spoken).
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to operate/use equipment provided by the department.

Responsibilities

• Perform major floor cleaning and refinishing tasks as per Environmental Services procedures.
• Clean assigned areas following schedules and prescribed methods (dust mopping, wet mopping, scrubbing, burnishing).
• Follow supervisors' instructions and perform other related duties as needed.
• Adhere to service excellence standards when interacting with patients, families, and staff.
