Job summary

Encompass Health is seeking a Floor Technician to maintain floor finishes and keep the facility clean for patients, visitors, and staff. The role focuses on safe, efficient floor care and basic housekeeping within a hospital setting.

You will work with a team dedicated to high standards of care, with on-site responsibilities and opportunities for growth and training. The position emphasizes safety, teamwork, and reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Six (6) months of floor care experience preferred; on-the-job training provided.
• Experience in general housekeeping is preferred.
• Physical ability to lift, lower, push, and pull objects weighing at least 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining floor finishes to ensure a safe, welcoming environment for patients and staff.
• Perform routine housekeeping tasks including floor cleaning, buffing, and refinishing.
• Move furniture and equipment as needed within facility departments.
• Clean walls, windows, vents, and dispose of trash and linen to maintain hygiene.
• Adhere to schedules and procedures to uphold sanitary standards.
