Job summary

Encompass Health in Bedford, TX is seeking a Floor Technician to maintain our facility's floor finishes and keep patient areas clean and safe.

You'll perform floor maintenance, routine housekeeping, and assist with moving supplies, with training provided; strong attention to detail and the ability to lift up to 30 pounds are important.

This role contributes to a high standard of care in a nationwide inpatient rehabilitation leader.

Qualifications

• Six months of floor care experience preferred; on-the-job training provided.
• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Valid driver's license may be required.
• Experience in general housekeeping is preferred.
• Physical ability to lift at least 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain floor finishes to create a safe, welcoming environment for patients and staff.
• Perform routine cleaning: floor care, buffing, carpet shampooing, refinishing.
• Move furniture and equipment as needed within departments.
• Clean walls, windows, vents, vacuum, and manage waste.
• Uphold sanitary, organized facilities following schedules and procedures.
