Job summary

Aramark at Baylor Scott and White Waco Hospital is seeking a Floor Technician to maintain and restore floors and operate industrial floor care equipment at the assigned site. The role supports hospital operations and requires adherence to safety and infection control standards.

Responsibilities include floor stripping, refinishing, carpet care, waste handling, and ensuring clean, safe environments for patients and staff. Prior floor care experience and basic reading/writing skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in related role preferred.
• Able to read and write to facilitate proper communication with others and perform simple math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a friendly, efficient, and positive customer service attitude toward customers, clients, and co-workers.
• Anticipates and responds to customer needs.
• Uses proper procedures on hard floor care (stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning) in adherence to hard surface floor maintenance.
• Uses proper procedures on carpet and upholstery care (shampooing, damp surface extraction, spot cleaning, vacuuming).
• Operates industrial floor care equipment as assigned and according to schedule.
• Performs maintenance and restoration for all floor surface types.
• Properly processes municipal solid waste (MSW) and infectious waste.
• Removes trash, recyclables, soiled linen, used supplies and equipment; disinfects receptacles and carts.
