Job summary

Saint Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an Environmental Service Specialty Technician to maintain floor care and cleaning services throughout the hospital, including stairwells and public spaces, using scrubbers, buffers, polishers, extractors, and wet vacuums.

You will work in specialty units such as surgical services and cath labs, following infection control protocols and safety standards, while communicating with staff and preserving patient privacy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous healthcare experience preferred.
• Floor care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform all types of floor care and maintenance across the facility, including hard surfaces and carpeting, stripping and waxing floors.
• Conduct project work and specialty tasks per facility needs, e.g., conference room setup/dismantle and cubicle curtain hanging.
• Clean and disinfect specialty units and equipment (e.g., Surgical Services, NICU, Endoscopy, Cath Lab, MRI, Trauma).
• Follow healthcare cleaning and disinfection principles, safe chemical use, and proper equipment handling to support a safe environment.
