Job summary

Summa Health is seeking a Financial Analyst II to support hospital-wide financial planning and performance analysis. The role partners with operational leaders and executives to drive budgeting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives aimed at improving patient care and efficiency.

You will build dashboards, conduct variance analyses, and deliver tailored financial insights that influence decisions across departments. A Bachelor’s degree and at least two years in healthcare finance are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Operations Management, or related field.
Minimum of two years of healthcare financial analysis, consulting, or related environment.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Developing and managing hospital and departmental budgets.
Creating hospital and department financial forecasts, variance analyses and models.
Analyzing operations, staffing trends to support leadership decisions.
Supporting department leadership with productivity reviews and hours/UOS performance.
Building tracking tools and dashboards to monitor financial and operational performance.
Preparing and presenting tailored financial reports to senior leadership.
Supporting strategic business planning projects and healthcare initiatives.
Providing project management oversight for special assignments and system-wide initiatives.
Partnering across medical, operational, and financial departments to identify growth opportunities.
