Job summary

Dignity Health – Yavapai Regional Medical Center (DH-YRMC), now part of CommonSpirit Health, seeks a General Maintenance Engineer to support hospital operations across the facility. You will perform carpentry and painting, assist skilled tradesmen, repair maintenance machinery and equipment, and diagnose mechanical and electrical systems to keep the campus safe and functional.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED diploma.
One year of experience in one or more of the trades.

Responsibilities

Maintains responsibility for the quality of individual workmanship in all projects completed and judicious use of all materials and supplies.
Performs diagnostic, trouble-shooting functions on mechanical and electrical systems.
Performs plumbing functions, relating to installation of new equipment and repairs of old equipment.
Performs routine preventive maintenance functions on a scheduled basis, as directed by the preventive maintenance work orders.
Ability to construct, repair and/or maintain furniture, partitions, doors, windows, floors and hospital framework when requested; use of power tools.
Ability to prepare surfaces for painting; apply paints to interior/exterior surfaces; and use equipment such as scaffolds and ladders safely.
