Job summary

HonorHealth is seeking a General Maintenance Worker to perform repairs, installations, and preventive/corrective maintenance across hospital buildings, grounds, and equipment. You will work under supervision with a focus on teamwork within the Facilities department.

The role supports licensed trades and involves collaborating with Electricians, Plumbers, Carpenters, and Painters to ensure reliable, safe facilities and equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Technical training diploma/degree preferred.
• 1 year of related general maintenance experience required.
• 3 years experience with skilled trade work preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on hospital physical plant equipment and building involving plumbing, electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, carpentry, roofing, flooring, ceilings, and walls.
• Performs preventative maintenance and repairs on beds, gurneys, wheelchairs, pneumatic tube systems, medical equipment, vehicles, televisions and other equipment as assigned
• Assists Electricians, Plumbers, Carpenters, and Painters as directed
• Performs related duties including cleaning, answering phones, and documenting in the CMMS
• Attends in-service education classes as directed
• Assists other hospital personnel on project work and new installations of equipment
• Performs other duties as assigned
