Job summary

Down East Community Hospital is seeking a skilled maintenance technician responsible for daily inspections and upkeep of plumbing, electrical, and heating systems across campus. The role covers completing work orders, logs, and certificates while ensuring safety and compliance.

The ideal candidate will hold a high school diploma (or equivalent), work toward a State Boiler Operator license within 1 year, and bring knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and carpentry to support hospital

Qualifications

• Must obtain a State Boiler Operator license within 1 year.
• Knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and carpentry is preferred.
• Ability to assess and diagnose faults on complex buildings and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily inspections and maintenance of plumbing, electrical and heating equipment.
• Completes work orders, preventative maintenance, and repairs as assigned.
• Completes log sheets, report sheets and test certificates as requested.
• Willing to travel within Washington county to work at job sites.
• Utilizes hospital owned work vehicle safely and responsibly.
• Adheres to safety policies and maintains orderly workshop areas.
