Qualifications

• Associate degree in a technical field is required.
• One year of experience with degree or three years without is acceptable.
• Proficient with trade tools; electrical, mechanical, and plumbing skills; safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Represents the department as a knowledgeable professional technician.
• Communicates the nature of service to patient or staff.
• Updates work request originator on progress through completion.
• Documents all work and time in a prompt, detailed fashion.
• Understands major components of essential systems (boiler, chiller, generator, med air/vac, sprinkler, fire pump, fire alarm, domestic systems).
• Analyzes and corrects problems in building maintenance scenarios.
• Troubleshoots and repairs patient room lighting, outlets, and ballast replacements.
• Orders proper parts after diagnosing mechanical issues.
• Prioritizes work with good time management.
