Job summary
Penn State Health Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic/Facilities Technician for a per diem/part-time role, 1-2 shifts per week. Compensation is $30.00 per hour.
The role supports maintenance of the inpatient rehabilitation hospital, focusing on safe, reliable operation of HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems to enhance patient and staff experience. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, monitoring of equipment, and assisting with installation and repair tasks
Qualifications
- Comprehensive knowledge of maintenance, repair, and safety procedures required.
- Current and valid Driver's License required.
- POETs/offboarding tests are completed as part of onboarding before first day of work.
Responsibilities
- Perform general mechanical and preventive maintenance on plant equipment.
- Inspect, service, repair, and overhaul mechanical systems in relation to safety and patient care.
- Monitor refrigeration, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems; record readings and take corrective action as needed.
- Assist with installation and repair of piping, wiring, and motor controls; replace bearings and seals as required.
- Troubleshoot minor electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and refrigeration issues and report problems promptly.
