Job summary

Bozeman Health is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to ensure safe and reliable hospital operations through maintenance and repairs. This role involves performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and compliance reporting while mentoring apprentices in the process.

Preferred qualifications include experience in HVAC and plumbing within a healthcare setting. The successful candidate will utilize a computerized maintenance management system for thorough documentation and communication across teams.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of facilities maintenance or trades experience; healthcare preferred.
• Demonstrated competency in at least two (2) crafts (e.g., HVAC and plumbing).
• Proficient in CMMS use with accurate documentation practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective repairs on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and restore safe operation.
• Conduct life-safety corrective actions and document results for survey readiness.

Skills

Facilities maintenance or trades experience

Competency in HVAC and plumbing

CMMS utilization

Ability to read prints/schematics

Education

EPA 608 Type I/II certification

Lockout/tagout qualification

ASHE Health Care certification
