Job summary

USPI Arizona Specialty Hospital is hiring a Maintenance Tech FT to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on building equipment and facilities under the direction of the Hospitality Services Director. Responsibilities include inspections, repairs, and basic systems troubleshooting in a hospital setting.

The role requires basic maintenance knowledge, ability to work with tools, and reliable English communication. The hospital emphasizes safety, confidentiality, and professional conduct.

Qualifications

• High school graduate, technical or trade school preferred.
• Six months experience in general maintenance preferred.
• General knowledge of plant maintenance.
• Knowledge of tools and their use.
• Knowledge of equipment used in hospitals.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Work with little or no supervision, take verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Inspects equipment and facility for proper operation and working conditions.
• Reports serious problems to supervisor for scheduling.
• Uses snakes or plungers to clear clogged drains.
• Troubleshoots and replaces TVs, remote controls and nurse call lights.
• Uses standard hand tools, voltmeter and amp meter for maintenance tasks.
• Performs routine maintenance like replacing fluorescent ballasts and tubes.
