Job summary

Sioux Center Health is seeking a facilities maintenance professional to oversee the physical plant, grounds upkeep, and preventive maintenance across the hospital campus.

You will lead the activities that provide storage, central processing, and distribution of supplies to support efficient hospital operations. The role requires coordinating with multiple departments to maintain safety standards and uninterrupted services.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and participates in the facility’s preventive maintenance program on buildings and equipment.
• Monitors, upgrades and repairs on fixed and movable equipment.
• Inspects and maintains domestic systems (water, sewer, fire protection, HVAC, emergency power, nurse call, cable TV).
• Collaborates with other managers to ensure life-safety compliance and conduct training.
• Schedules and organizes fire/evacuation drills per state/federal requirements.
• Assists in patient transfers for medical appointments as needed.
• Manages MSDS information and oversees safe waste disposal.
• Performs grounds upkeep including tree trimming, mowing, and snow removal as required.
• Manages material control to ensure inventory supports smooth workflow.
