Job summary

Sioux Center Health is seeking a dedicated Environmental Services Associate to maintain a clean and safe hospital environment across patient rooms, offices, lounges and corridors. The role includes waste disposal, room turnover and ensuring neat floors and common areas are kept tidy.

Hours include early shifts 4:00am-12:00pm and 6:00am-2:30pm with rotating weekends and holidays. You will join a multidisciplinary team and contribute to a compassionate care environment while adhering to safety

Qualifications

• Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others, hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds.
• Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a clean/neat environment in working areas.
• Participates in cleaning activities including walls, ceilings, vents, lights, baseboards, windows, and light bulbs.
• Maintains clean floor surfaces through dusting, buffing, scrubbing, stripping, sealing, waxing, extracting, and vacuuming.
• Disposes of trash properly and maintains cleanliness of receptacles.
• Relocates office and hospital furniture/equipment as needed.
