Job summary

Baptist Health in Jacksonville seeks a Plumber for the Plant Facilities Department to install, repair, and maintain hospital plumbing across the campus, ensuring a safe, functional environment for patients, staff and visitors and supporting uninterrupted medical operations. Duties include troubleshooting water, drainage and medical gas systems; reading blueprints; performing preventative maintenance; and responding promptly to urgent plumbing needs.

On-call rotation and weekend shifts may apply.

Qualifications

• High School Deploma is required.
• Experience in hospital facilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Installs valves and piping materials properly suited for the system being repaired or installed.
• Repairs all types of plumbing fixtures, faucets and flush valves.
• Takes apart equipment, determine the problem or faulty part and reassemble the equipment to a working order.
• Troubleshoots water, drainage, and medical gas systems; performs preventative maintenance and responds promptly to urgent plumbing needs.
