Job summary

Metro Health is seeking a Maintenance Technician 1 to perform maintenance and repair services for facilities under supervision. The role requires basic troubleshooting, ability to read manuals, and effective communication in English.

Responsibilities include using CMMS to document work, performing preventive maintenance, coordinating with contractors, maintaining inventory, and supporting flexible hours to access restricted areas as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Vocational training in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, or building technology preferred.
• Able to read and understand drawings and manuals.
• Able to communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Use CMMS to create/receive work requests, document time and parts used, status and completion.
• Inspect facilities and equipment, prepare documentation and work requests.
• Complete preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot problems and implement solutions.
• Perform minor electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry tasks.
• Coordinate with vendors/contractors servicing facilities.
• Maintain inventory and organize parts/equipment storage.
• Transport materials and equipment as needed.
• Maintain attendance and support flexible hours including evenings/weekends.
