Job summary

MercyOne is seeking a maintenance technician to perform preventative and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment and systems within the health system. The role involves following diagrams, manuals and specifications, patrolling buildings, using hand and power tools, and testing instruments while upholding MercyOne performance expectations and values.

The position is a 1st shift, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with on-call every 4 weeks and some weekend responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Experience in an institutional environment preferred.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools to repair mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative and corrective maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment and systems.
• Patrols hospital buildings and grounds to prevent fire, theft, vandalism and illegal entry.
• Uses hand and power tools and precision measuring and testing instruments.
• Adheres to safety, infection control and employee health policies and procedures.
