Job summary

St. Charles Health System is seeking a Maintenance Engineer II to oversee skilled maintenance and repairs of the hospital’s physical structure and equipment.

Based in Bend, OR, you will ensure safe, reliable facilities for patients, visitors, and caregivers by keeping systems in peak operating condition. You will troubleshoot, operate and maintain boilers, chillers, HVAC, electrical, and life-safety systems, while writing CMMS work orders and supporting continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Journeyman HVAC/R or plumbing certification or equivalent; Oregon license preferred.
• 5 years in facilities/plant operations, hospital maintenance preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret diagrams; strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and troubleshoot hospital facilities maintenance and repairs.
• Operate boilers, chillers, HVAC and life-safety systems.
• Maintain equipment to ensure safety and comfort for patients and staff.
• Write and close PMs, WO's, and troubleshooting tickets in CMMS.
• Assist with special projects and support training of staff.
