Job summary

St. Charles Health System in Bend, Oregon seeks a Facilities Maintenance Engineer to oversee skilled maintenance and repairs of hospital facilities, ensuring safety and comfort for patients, visitors, and staff.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Certification from a recognized trade school or military training program required.
Journeyman HVAC/R or Journeyman plumbing certification issued by State of Oregon required.
LME, Journeyman or Supervisory electrical license issued by State of Oregon required.
Applicable trade level experience may be considered in lieu of licenses or certifications.

Responsibilities

Oversee, trouble shoot and perform skilled maintenance on hospital facilities and equipment.
Operate, troubleshoot and repair boilers, chillers, HVAC, electrical, and life-safety systems.
Write work orders in the CMMS and close PMs/WO's when completed.
Respond to alarms and code calls; ensure safety and compliance.
Assist with training of other hospital caregivers in safety and utility procedures.
