Job summary

Meadowview Regional Medical Center is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to perform preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment, systems, and structures throughout the facility. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and timely repairs to support patient care and operations.

The position includes health/dental/vision benefits, 401K, PTO, EAP, and tuition reimbursement for qualified applicants. Schedule: Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–4:00 PM with 1 week on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or the equivalent.
• Two years institutional/commercial maintenance experience required.
• Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and/or electronic systems required.
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrates proficiency in verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, maintain, operate and repair machinery, equipment, and systems as scheduled or needed.
• Perform major and minor maintenance work.
• Perform utility and structural repairs as needed, alone or in collaboration with internal/external tradespersons.
• Assist with inspection, testing, and maintenance of all fire risers, sprinklers, extinguishers, fire doors and other fire/safety-related equipment and systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance procedures on equipment, building systems, and utility systems as assigned.
• Move items within/between locations and from/to storage.
• Assemble and relocates furniture.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.
