Job summary

Meadowbrook-Behavioral-Health-Center is hiring a Maintenance Assistant to keep our facility safe, clean, and efficient. You will support the Maintenance Department by maintaining equipment and infrastructure in accordance with policies and procedures.

Responsibilities include operating and repairing boilers, generators, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems, while adhering to safety and regulatory standards. A strong candidate will read blueprints and manage repair programs within budget.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years’ experience operating boilers, compressors, generators, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and wiring schematics.
• Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and maintenance practices.
• Licensed in accordance with current standards, codes, labor laws.
• Ability to plan and carry out repair programs, new construction, and equipment installation.
• Ability to control and track direct spending and labor budgets.

Responsibilities

• Support maintenance by ensuring the facility is clean, safe, and comfortable.
• Assist with operation, repair, and maintenance of boilers, compressors, generators, HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
