Job summary

Nebraska Medicine is seeking a Manager of Facilities to lead day-to-day operations across all locations, guiding maintenance teams and ensuring reliable infrastructure.

The role requires strategic budgeting, cross-functional collaboration with hospital departments, and on-call weekend coverage; we offer tuition support and professional growth opportunities. This position is full-time, with a Monday–Friday schedule but with flexibility to support 2nd/3rd shifts and weekends.

Qualifications

• Five years' experience in building maintenance or related training.
• Three years of leadership experience.
• Bachelor's degree or progressive related experience in the field.
• Demonstrated leadership and management skills.
• Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, data analysis and business case development.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations, planning, directing and evaluating the department.
• Prepare, monitor and be accountable for department budgets.
• Supervise maintenance technicians and trades (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, Locksmiths).
• Collaborate with hospital teams and promote cross-functional teamwork.
• Measure and continuously improve departmental performance to meet organizational goals.
