Job summary

Griffin Hospital is seeking a senior leader to oversee facilities management, including engineering, telecommunications, and property operations. This role drives regulatory compliance, budgets, contracts, and capital planning across Griffin Hospital and its holdings.

You will supervise Plant Operations and Telecommunications, manage vendor contracts, and lead energy and water management initiatives to optimize performance and cost-efficiency.

Qualifications

• Graduate engineer or equivalent knowledge/experience.
• Minimum 10 years experience in hospital facilities management with knowledge of applicable regulations (TJC, DEEP, EPA, DPH, CMS, NBCC CT supplements).

Responsibilities

• Lead facilities management across engineering, telecommunications and property management.
• Procure permits and ensure regulatory compliance reporting.
• Direct supervision of Plant Operations and Telecommunications departments.
• Prepare annual budgets and operational plans.
• Manage service and maintenance contracts; solicit RFPs and negotiate terms.
• Negotiate utility agreements for gas, oil and electricity.
• Develop capital budget for Griffin Hospital and holdings.
• Prepare POs, review invoices and approve payments.
• Plan in-house construction projects.
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of MEP systems.
• Ensure testing, calibration and regulatory compliance (TJC Environment of Care).
• Monitor water treatment programs and energy consumption.
