Job summary

PeaceHealth is seeking a Hospital Engineer - Facilities for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position. The role maintains a wide range of plant equipment and health care systems to support a code-compliant, safe, healing environment for patients, visitors and staff.

The position requires responding to alarms, performing daily rounds, and coordinating with outside vendors to ensure work meets hospital standards and is completed efficiently.

Qualifications

• One year of building/plant maintenance training through trade school, apprenticeship, or military program.
• Associate degree preferred for advanced opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Repairs and maintains facilities, equipment, and utility systems to ensure a code-compliant, safe, healing environment.
• Responds to alarms and emergencies involving utility and life-safety systems.
• Makes daily rounds and performs repairs following department procedures.
• Coordinates and oversees outside vendor service to ensure work meets hospital standards.
• Coordinates activities to maintain efficient department operations.
