Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a skilled maintenance electrician for its facilities in the Lehigh Valley. The role encompasses installation, operation, maintenance and repair of electrical equipment and circuitry, plus general facility maintenance.

Duties include wiring, lighting, nurse call, fire alarm, pneumatic tube, and intercom systems; troubleshooting; NFPA/Joint Commission record maintenance; preventive maintenance; and CMMS work order documentation. Shift: Day.

Qualifications

Reading electrical drawings and blueprints to determine layout and component placement.
Knowledge of electrical systems, electrical codes, and safety regulations applicable to hospital facilities.
Understanding of power distribution systems and control wiring in commercial/industrial settings.

Responsibilities

Provides maintenance and repair of electrical systems and components including wiring, lighting, nurse call, fire alarm, pneumatic tube, intercom, etc.
Troubleshoots to identify hazards or malfunctions and repairs or replaces damaged parts and equipment.
Maintains system integrity by inspecting and replacing wiring, cables, labeling breakers and panels, and keeping records.
