Job summary

Northwestern Medicine Kishwaukee Hospital is seeking an Environmental Services (EVS) Tech to maintain cleanliness in patient rooms, offices, and public areas. The role supports infection control and safety by following isolation procedures and using PPE.

You will stock supplies and ensure equipment is clean and ready for use. The position emphasizes teamwork, adherence to policies, and timely communication with supervisors and staff.

Qualifications

• Must follow oral and written instructions.
• Must communicate effectively with patients, visitors and staff.
• Must use department tracking/communication tools.
• Must be able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and maintains patient rooms, offices, public areas, treatment rooms, and other assigned areas daily.
• Follows policies and procedures on patient isolation and contact precautions.
• Stocks paper items and other supplies in assigned areas as necessary.
• Maintains cart and equipment in clean, working condition and stores in appropriate storage area.
• Promotes safety in the workplace using wet floor signs and PPE.
