Job summary

Northwestern Medicine Lake Forest Hospital is hiring an Environmental Services Tech II for a full-time, 40-hour week. The shift runs 12pm to 8:30pm with every other weekend rotation.

The role focuses on cleaning patient rooms, offices, and public areas, while following isolation procedures and safety guidelines. Responsibilities include stocking supplies, maintaining carts and equipment, and reporting safety hazards to supervision.

Qualifications

• Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with patients, visitors and staff.
• Must be able to use department tracking and communication tools.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain patient rooms, offices, and public areas daily.
• Follow isolation and contact precautions as needed.
• Stock supplies in assigned areas as necessary.
• Maintain and store carts and equipment in clean condition.
• Promote safety and use PPE and wet floor signs appropriately.
• Report safety hazards and equipment needs to supervisor.
• Communicate issues to supervisor and assist with scheduling.
