Job summary

Northwestern Medicine Location: DeKalb, Kishwaukee Hospital is seeking an Environmental Services Technician for full-time evenings (3:00 PM–11:30 PM) with every-other weekend and rotating holidays. You will clean patient rooms, offices, and public areas daily, follow isolation and PPE policies, stock supplies, and maintain equipment while upholding safety and confidentiality standards.

• Must follow oral and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and maintains patient rooms, offices, public areas, treatment rooms, and other areas daily.
• Follows policies and procedures on patient isolation and contact precautions.
• Stocks paper items and other supplies in assigned areas.
• Maintains cart and equipment in clean, working condition.
• Promotes safety in the workplace with wet floor signs and PPE.
• Uses chemicals and equipment safely and ensures proper labeling.
• Notifies supervisor of equipment repairs and safety hazards.
• Communicates issues and schedule constraints to supervisor or Call Center.
• Maintains professional demeanor and assists patients and staff as needed.
